Magnelis® is an innovative zinc-magnesium-aluminium coating from ArcelorMittal, offering excellent corrosion resistance and self-healing properties. At the same coating thickness, it provides more than three times better protection against corrosion than traditionally galvanised steel.
Thanks to its self-healing properties, minor damage is repaired, and the steel remains protected over the long term, even under harsh conditions. The coating is applied during the production of the steel strip, allowing it to be processed with great precision and efficiency while requiring less coating material than hot-dip galvanising.
